Electric Auto Shop provides onsite training for students and instructors.  The EAS-50 course is an intensive five day session at our northern California production facility.  The course is ideal pre-instruction for educators planning to use the Electric Auto Shop classroom curricula at their schools.  See a sample of the course.

Day 4

  • Battery Management - discussion of available products, Elithion, Thuderstruck
  • Electric Discussions - Ohm's Law, Watt's Law, relationship to conversion  
  • Wiring - termination, routing and layout 
  • Relays and Contactors - function and intergration 
  • Shop Session - building circuits, motor adaptors, welding, soldering, plasma cutting

Day 5

  • Series Battery Installation - traction battery fit and location
  • Electric Discussions - Ohm's Law, Watt's Law, relationship to conversion  
  • Component Connections - wire routing, AC motor, key switch, relays, contactors, low and high voltage systems
  • Initial Key-on - starting and spinning the motor 
  • Final Component Installation - DC-DC converter, Charger, BMS System, Braking, Vacuum, Heating/Cooling Systems
  • Summary & Conclusions - Final wrap-up, Q&A, material hand outs, review of available resources
